My teaching journey has had lots of twists and turns. Throughout college, I worked in childcare. This taught me so much about human development and learning through play. I graduated with my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah in 2019. I taught 6th grade for 3 years, then took a break to be with my daughters. When my daughter started at AAA, I was lucky enough to take a position as a special education para, where I have been since fall of 2024. 

My teaching philosophy is to always look at the whole child. It is important to consider the strengths of every child and celebrate growth in any area. It is especially important to me to build a student’s confidence. There is more than one way to measure success!
