It brings me immense joy to lead Advantage Arts Academy (AAA) as the principal. Since joining AAA in 2020, my heart and soul have become deeply engrained in every inch of this vibrant school community.
My educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, where I laid the groundwork for my passion for teaching. To deepen my understanding of effective instructional practices, I later earned a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction. I've had the privilege of teaching 4th to 6th grades in both Texas and Utah, as well as fulfilling roles such as team lead, curriculum designer, instructional coach, and mentor.
Advantage Arts Academy is the perfect fit for me as an educator, given the profound influence the arts have had on my own life. From grade school through college, I actively participated in music and art extracurriculars. During my time at BYU, I completed an Art History study abroad program, discovering the perfect integration of my passions. The arts hold a special place in my heart, and I'm thrilled to foster a love for creativity and self-expression at AAA.
One of the aspects I cherish most about AAA is our culture of expression and celebration of individual talent. Each teacher and student brings unique gifts to our school, setting us apart from the rest and creating a truly exceptional learning environment.
Working with our creative students and dedicated teachers at AAA is a genuine pleasure, and I find immense fulfillment in contributing to the success of our amazing school community.
