Biography

I'm Kristen Smith and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching 1st grade this year! Teaching has been my passion for 10 amazing years, and the classroom feels like my second home. I have a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Instruction, K-8, and I've taught Kindergarten, 4th, 5th, and mostly 6th grade, but the little ones are just my favorite!

Outside of school, I've been happily married for 18 years and have 3 wonderful children, 3 dogs, 2 geckos, and even some chickens. I'm a nature enthusiast and love spending time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, and enjoying anything on the water. I'm also quite the crafty person – I adore arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, and creating fun activities for the classroom.
