Biography

Hello, I'm Megan Morris, and I'm thrilled to be an educator at Advantage Arts Academy. With nine years of teaching experience under my belt, split between the small cities of Northern New York and Utah, I believe I can bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to my new role in second grade at AAA. I have taught 4 years in third grade, 4 years in second grade, and 1 year in long term substitute positions in NY.

Beyond the classroom, my interests span from learning to cook new recipes for my family, hiking, paddle boarding, video games, and exercising.

I firmly believe that the arts are integral to our happiness and learning, and I'm dedicated to integrating these passions into my teaching style. Teaching isn't just a profession for me; it's a lifelong calling that took root way back in fifth grade. Growing up, I thoroughly enjoyed acting in plays. My third grade class did an excellent performance in the Wizard of Oz play last year at AAA. I'm currently learning how to play the guitar and I am also enjoying painting sessions with my daughter every Sunday. I choose to be a teacher who sees the whole student, nurturing not only their academic growth but also their self-esteem and love for learning. For me, learning should be an exciting adventure eagerly awaited each day, fostering an environment where students thrive and discover the joy of knowledge.

I am very excited to witness my students learn and grow each year. Together, we'll make learning an experience to cherish and remember.
