Hello! My name is Valeria, and I am thrilled to be starting my first year as a Multi Language Learner Assistant here at Advantage Arts Academy. From the very first moment, I was captivated by the school’s energy, its wonderful focus on art, and above all, the incredible potential of our students.

As a proud Venezuelan who moved to the United States a few years ago, I share a very similar story with many of our families. I know firsthand what it means to learn a new language and carve out a path in a new place. Because of that, connecting with the children and supporting our families through this journey is something I hold close to my heart. My goal is for every student to discover everything they are capable of achieving.

I got certified at Salt Lake Community College. Outside of school, you’ll find me exploring delicious dishes from around the world (I love good food and music!), going on walks during sunset, or spending quality time with my family and my poodle pup. In the classroom, you’ll always see me laughing with the kids and sharing that positive energy. What’s my favorite part of the day? Without a doubt, heading out to recess to play, laugh, and connect with the students. I am so excited to accompany them, inspire them, and celebrate every single one of their achievements this year!
